Confined Space

Have you ever experienced being locked out? I had this experience today in Dearie's place. While at the washroom, the door to the kitchen shut itself due to the wind. I didn't think anything of it, until had to open the door. That's when panic set in.

Panic because I was standing at the void space in between the washroom and the storeroom. It was going to be a challenge trying to get Dearie to 'rescue' me because my mobile phone wasn't with me and I had to shout really loud to be audible, given the confined space that I was in.

After feeble attempts to shout for help and banging on the door for about 10 minutes, my knight in shining armour opened the door to freedom! Instead of being grateful, my frustration overcome me and I didn't show appreciation to Dearie in time. I should really be chided for this..

Guess I shouldn't expect that he always knew what I was doing or where I was going. These expectations may unrealistically set my perspective and influence the way I interact with him. It goes the same way for all relationships, be it with family, friends, colleagues or acquaintances.

Communication is key!
