All along, perhaps I took it for granted. Today, I realized something in mass.
At the start of every week's mass, we ask for forgiveness from the Lord during the penitential rite. Straight after it, we sing "Kyrie Elesion". Yes, it continues our plea to ask for mercy from Him. But, the 'blind' me just did not link these 2 together until today..

Going for weekly mass is not just about fulfilling a routine. It is a time that we can admit that we are not as good as we thought we are. No matter how rich or how powerful we are @ work, it does not mean that we are invincible nor that it gives us the right to feel superior over others.
My feel is that going for mass is also a humbling act in itself, if we manage to put aside the secular concerns we have and just spend the short time with Him earnestly. Am not good at it. Do find my mind wandering off at times. Hope that this realization can help!
