Thought that this was the first Good Friday mass I attended. Turns out that I did attend one probably last year at CTK, as I recalled the adoration portion.
This year, Dearie & I went to SM. Another new church for me. They have nice stained glass paintings of the stations of the cross. Going through the 14 stations prior to the service was quite an experience. It was seldom that we couldn't sit for long in church, given that a lot of standing and kneeling interpersed the process of the 14 stations.
The night before i.e. Maundy Thursday, we were around Bukit Timah and went to SJ. They had the stations of the cross in statue form. It gave the tour of the stations a sense of realism, especially when we saw Jesus being nailed to the cross. The amount of pain must have been unimaginable. And this can not be compared to the small inconvenience we had of standing and kneeling for the stations of the cross mentioned above.
Learnt something through these 2 days. For one, didn't know that our virgin mother, Mary, managed to hold her son, Jesus, after he passed away..
