Entombed

I should have written my reflections about last week's readings more immediately. Now, only have vague collection of it. What stuck in my mind was this message:

"Don't entomb ourselves in earthly belief systems."

Over and over again (not that I mind the repetition), scripture pointed out to us how people of today think of themselves being too clever and thinking that they know it all hence no need for God and His teachings.

But are what is fed to us by the present world actually true? It is such a subjective world that one who knows how to justify his cause can actually rally people behind a seemingly questionable course of action. Have we actually evolved? Or have we evolved only in terms of material comfort?
