Yesterday evening, had some time to lounge around at home. Decided to take out the above mentioned DVD to watch. When I first received it from Amazon, only watched the 1st 2 songs and a bit of the specials disc. Since then, it has been about 2 months. Previously, I probably would have stayed up the whole night to finish watching it ;p
If I recall, this was 藤木直人's 8th live tour. It had none of the fanciful movie clips filmed specially for the concert, unlike previous concerts. Just pure singing, guitar playing together with live band and some dancing. That already was good enough for me! Somehow, seeing him sing is a very soothing experience especially when he sings his older songs. Not that the newer songs are not nice. It's just that the older songs are somewhat more characteristic of him!
As usual, the fans were so in sync and displayed the various nifty dance steps for his songs. I remembered this was one of the reason that got me so impressed about watching Japanese concerts :) The audience's mood and enthusiasm was just hard to miss too!
We saw Okiyami Horns, Calarami the dancers together with Nao. A little disappointing thing was that the usual band Nao played with i.e. Nothing, did not participate in this concert.... Still, his final encore appearance as the cowboy was equally charming, dancing along with the entourage of back-up dancers ;p
Wonder will he be having a concert this year? If yes, I will have to start saving up again.. to buy the DVD :)
