It is olympics fever recently. And the person who have gotten the highest honour so far is this young man, Michael Phelps, from USA. He competes in the swimming events. Setting a target to achieve 8 gold medals in this year's Olympics, he had just managed to do so this morning, with the conclusion of the swimming events.
It is really remarkable how he manages to reach his goal, amidst the many unknowns present in large scale competitions like these. Admirable! And he indeed inspired me, to persevere in whatever I set out to do. The other person who is also quite remarkable is swimmer Dara Torres. She goes on to achieve accolades for her country too even though she is relatively older than many of her competitors. Valuable gems of wisdom that can be gleamed from watching them in action!
