Got to know about Father David Thexeira's passing while flipping through the Straits Times yesterday. About 1 - 2 weeks back, we received an sms from our friend, A, telling us to pray for him as he is hospitalized. We did not really think much about it, as there were previous messages about other priests that did not turn out as serious as the smses described. That said, hence it's a real shock when I saw the obituary yesterday.
I recalled attending mass at Holy Spirit and listening to some of his homilies. One of his homilies touched me back then, almost to the point of tears. Though I do not know him personally, will remember him for his words of wisdom. May he rest in peace..
