Went to see the latest Bond movie with dearie on Friday. In fact, we have postponed watching it for some time either due to our schedules or my not feeling well. Finally, we managed to catch this after work. Honestly, when I first saw the title of the movie, couldn't associate it with the Bond franchise of movies at all. Guess it was also because Daniel Craig was the latest actor to front the famous character penned by Ian Flemming and I was still used to Pierce Brosnan.
On the whole, I thought that it was a movie worth watching. I just went dizzy with surprise watching the opening credits (good animation graphics!) which came with the nice song sang by Chris Connell (spelling?). Some reviewers at imdb thought otherwise though.
It was a very action-packed movie with the typical Bond & M's interactions as well as Bond and his ladies. Felt that Daniel Craig pulled it off quite successfully. Pierce Brosnan was very suave as James Bond, but Daniel Craig was very cool which may be quite relevant going by that this movie supposedly features Bond's initial missions. Talking about actors casted as Bond, I remember telling dearie that Hugh Jackman could be quite a good choice to be Bond. Interestingly, as I read imdb, there seemed to be some belief that Hugh Jackman was offered the role, but he turned it down. Hmm, interesting.. By the way, the fresh-faced Eva Green sans make-up is quite pretty. I did not see any of her past movies, but recalled that she had heavy make-up on and that made her look rather mature.
